UAS Research Objective

Remote sensing for characterizing the growth and productivity of agronomic and bioenergy crops. Remote sensing for developing crop coefficients for irrigation water management. Regional scale upscaling of crop growth and productivity using remote sensing and models.

Brief Biography

My current research areas include crop ecophysiology, agroecology and water management of agricultural crops. I use a variety of research techniques such as remote sensing (satellite, aerial, unmanned systems and field-based), simulation modeling, and soil and boundary layer flux (eddy covariance) measurements. My other research interests include large scale agroecosystem studies addressing issues such as land use change, water sustainability, and climate change.
